Tournament play will begin on Friday, February 29 and Saturday, March 1, 2008, at Central Michigan University’s Student Activity Center in Mt. Pleasant. We will play through the semi-final round resulting in two teams in each age division moving on to the State Finals which will be played on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Lansing Christian High School

General Information : 

1)      The facility is Central Michigan University Student Activity Center, 360 East Broomfield Road, Mt Pleasant, MI 48859

2)      Parking is in LOT #62 on the east side of the facility – please do not use  reserved parking spots / do not use other parking lots

3)      Admissions will be collected at the door by CMU employees – rates are set by the Tournament at:   $4  adult  - $2 student -  maximum per family (includes 2 adults)  $7    This is PER DAY

4)      CMU does not allow food or non-water liquids on the basketball floor – water bottles only

5)      We do not have exclusive use of the facility – it is open to the public

6)      We do not have use of anything in the facility other than the basketball courts.  No use of the:   swimming pools / weight rooms / exercise center / bowling alleys / etc.

7)      Parents are responsible for their children at all times.  Do not let them wonder unaccompanied.

8)      The facility has a small “café” – eating is on your own – no tournament concessions available

9)      Locker rooms may be used for changing clothes - no lockers available to players (do not bring your own lock)

 

Game information : 

1)      Top team listed in the bracket is the home team – will wear white uniform if available & be home team on the scoreboard

2)      Each home team must provide a clock person for all home games

3)      Home team scorebook is the official scorebook.  It is responsibility of person keeping visiting team scorebook to agree with home team – discrepancies will be decided in favor of home team book

4)      Players are to bring their duffle bags / clothes with them to the court & put behind team bench during games

5)      Teams are to remain on the court during half-time (do not go to locker room for team meeting)

6)      Games can be started 15 minutes earlier than announced start time to keep the courts moving – teams are responsible to be available at least 15 minutes earlier than announced start time.

7)      Warm up time 5 minutes (longer if time available at discretion of referees) – Half time of 5 minutes

8)      A game score sheet will be at each scorer’s table – home team is responsible to fill in score after the game is completed – both home & visiting team scorekeepers are to initial
